Volunteer abroad for street children in Tanzania
Volunteers here are welcome for a minimum of 4 weeks.
This project aims to help disabled & marginalized people in the Manyara region. Volunteers for this project are based in Babati, 170 km from Arusha, a drive of about 3-4 hours. It is a small agricultural town, in a very beautiful area. Breakfast, basic healthcare and educational materials is provided to about 60 street children that go to kindergarten, primary & secondary schools. Volunteers help with caring for the children, leading activities and supporting them in their academic work.
Volunteers in Babati stay with a local host family, in their own room, and share meals & facilities with their hosts.
