Volontärarbete utomlands i barnhem i Indien
Volontärer är välkomna för ett minimum av 4 veckor.
Det här barnhemmet härbärgar 29 barn i varierande åldrar. Upp till tio volontärer kan tillbringa ca två timmar här (mellan 15.30 och 17.30) varje dag under skolåret. Vidare kan fler aktiviteter äga rum under skolloven när barnen är lediga på morgonarna.
De olika aktiviteterna som volontärerna kan delta i omfattar:
- Att hjälpa barnen med hemläxor.
- Att lära ut talad och skriven engelska.
- Att ge barnen datorträning.
- Att hjälpa de barn som är lite långsammare i skolan.
Volontärer är välkomna för ett minimum av 4 veckor.
Volontärer behövs på några barnhem som behöver praktisk hjälp för att hjälpa de lokala arbetare. Volontärer kommer att genomföra ett antal utbildnings-, rekreations- och hälsoaktiviteter för det känslomässiga och fysiska välbefinnandet av barnen. De kommer också att ge välbehövlig omsorg och kärlek till barnen.

Please note: Volunteers in India are not assigned to a specific project until they have arrived at the project site. There, they visit the various available placements, and make a more informed choice about their preferred placement.
This happens for a number of reasons. For example, some volunteers may be better able to help in a specific project due to previous experiences, and that becomes more clear in the field. Furthermore, there is an integrated development plan for the community, which means that a number of projects are active within a community at the same time, and we need to ensure availability of volunteers in as many projects as possible. If all the volunteers wish to work on a particular type of project, we would have too many people on one project and not enough on another.
This is why we also ask potential participants to indicate their top 3 choices when they apply. Specific daily tasks are listed on our website for each type of project. For each placement there are many specific projects - e.g. many schools, many orphanages, etc. - and volunteers are assigned according to the criteria listed above.
