Volunteer abroad in community development projects in South Africa

Volunteers here are welcome for a minimum of 2 weeks.
This construction project aims to build and repair schools located in poorer areas that have little or no funding. The goal is to make the schools look and feel like a better place to learn. It is best if volunteers have skills in the fields of: carpentry, plumbing, interior design, architecture, building, electrical work, general maintenance, gardening, landscaping and anything else that can help improve facilities.
Tasks may include:
- Building of new and/or improved schools
- Maintenance of the interior and exterior of current schools
- Plumbing
- Painting
- Carpentry and woodwork projects
- Building tables, shelves, cupboards etc.
- Planting vegetable gardens
- Landscaping
